Reference to the word owned, usually used when a person defeats an opponent in a game.

Defeat the three nocturnal mechanical menaces: the Twins, the Destroyer, and Skeletron Prime.

Defeat the Moon Lord.
Defeat the Moon Lord for the first time.
Had a different image before the release of 1.3.0.1, so as not to spoil the surprise of what the final boss would look like before 1.3 was released. It was a silhouette of the Moon Lord, only showing the eye at the top of his head and his shape.

Kill a nymph.
Defeat a Nymph for the first time.
Needs to be killed in Nymph form. Killing a Lost Girl before she transforms into a Nymph will not count.

Triumph over the frost legion, a festive family of maniacal snowman mobsters.

Reference to the 2013 Disney film Frozen, which has a song called " Do You Want to Build a Snowman? "

Defeat the Dreadnautilus, murderous mollusk lurking beneath the surface of the sanguine seas.

A reference to the motto of the Gadsden flag, in which the motto reads " Don't Tread on Me ".

Defeat the Eye of Cthulhu, an ocular menace who only appears at night.

Reach the 15th wave of a frost moon, where the festive season quickly degrades into madness.
Reach the 15th wave of a Frost Moon.
A reference to the children's song, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!".

Defeat Queen Slime, giving the coup-de-grace to the sovereign of all that jiggles.
Defeat the Queen Slime for the first time.
A common pun on the idiom, " just deserts ".

Defeat Golem, the stone-faced ritualistic idol of the lihzahrd tribe.

A reference to the singing competition television series American Idol.

Defeat the Brain of Cthulhu, an enormous demon brain which haunts the creeping crimson.

In the description of the Steam version of the achievement, "enormous" is misspelled as "enourmous".

Defeat the Ancient Cultist, fanatical leader of the dungeon coven.
Defeat the Lunatic Cultist for the first time.
Note that this will initiate the Lunar Events.

Kill pinky.
Defeat Pinky for the first time.
Probably a reference to either the The Psychedelic Furs song of the same name Pretty in Pink or the 1986 American romantic comedy movie it was named after, Pretty in Pink.

Defeat King Slime, the lord of all things slimy.
Defeat King Slime for the first time.
Shinobi is another word for ninja, referencing the ninja inside the King Slime.

Defeat the four celestial towers of the moon.
Defeat all four Celestial Pillars.
Note that defeating all four towers will summon the Moon Lord. Possible references to the Star Destroyers in the epic space opera media franchise Star Wars. Requires the player to deal at least 1 damage to each pillar before it is defeated. Pillars can be defeated on separate worlds.

Defeat the Wall of Flesh, the master and core of the world who arises after a great, burning sacrifice.

Note that defeating the Wall of Flesh will initiate Hardmode in a pre-Hardmode world. Possibly a reference to the 1984 album Stay Hungry by American heavy metal band Twisted Sister.

Defeat the Queen Bee, the matriarch of the jungle hives.

References sting operations, a law enforcement tactic used to catch criminals via deception.

Defeat Plantera, the overgrown monstrosity of the jungle's depths.

Reference to Tim the Enchanter from the 1975 satire film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and his quote "There are some who call me... Tim."

Likely reference to traditional marriage vows found in the Book of Common Prayer and the Alternative Service Book which include the phrase "til death do us part".

Triumph over a martian invasion, when beings from out of this world come to scramble your brains and probe you in uncomfortable places.

Invoked the wrath of the God of Torches, and survived long enough to earn its blessing.

Triumph over a pirate invasion, a group of pillagers from the sea out for your booty... and your life!

Obtain the Ankh Shield, the finest protection from unpleasant maladies and ailments.

Have a pair of wings equipped.
Fledgling Wings count towards this achievement. The wings shown in the achievement icon appear to be Angel Wings.

Obtain an anvil made from iron or lead.
Obtain your first Iron or Lead Anvil.
A nod to the music genre of the same name, which is frequently referenced in-game: Plantera and its associated items, as well as the Blood Rain Bow.

Equip your first grappling hook.
Equip a hook.
To get this achievement, the grappling hook needs to be in the grappling hook slot.

Obtain the Zenith, the culmination of a journey forged into the ultimate sword.

Craft a molten pickaxe using the hottest of materials.
Craft a Molten Pickaxe.
The player must craft a Molten Pickaxe; just having it in inventory will not work.

Become a Moon Lord impersonator.
Wear the Moon Lord Mask, Moon Lord Torso, and Moon Lord Legs at the same time.
The Moon Lord Mask is dropped by the Moon Lord. The Moon Lord Torso can be found inside Dungeon chest or Golden Lock Boxes in a For the Worthy world. The Moon Lord Legs can be found inside Drunk world chests.

Give any villager a new look.
Soak a town NPC in Shimmer.
Can be achieved by using Shimmer or Shimmer Gun.

Spot the sun on a 'cool' day.
Wear Sunglasses above surface in a sunny day.
The player has to wear Sunglasses in a vanity slot when the following conditions are met: The player is above surface. The Remix seed is not active. It is not raining. The time is between 5:30 AM and 6:30 PM.

Find the ultra rare Rod of Discord.
Obtain a Rod of Discord.

Obtain a rainbow rod.

Craft the final upgrade to the Cell Phone.

Breach the impenetrable walls of the jungle temple.
Unlock the Jungle Temple 's Lihzahrd Door.

Chop down your first tree.
Obtain wood.
Can be earned by picking up any wood (except Feywood and Pine Wood ) from any sources. The phrase Timber! is used by loggers to warn others that a tree being felled is falling.

Some very special seeds can lead to unique and rewarding experiences. Can you find one?
Enter a world using any special world seed.
The achievement is granted when playing in a world with any special world seed attribute. As a result, worlds with these attributes created by world editors are also eligible.

Shimmer an item into another item. What other transmutations can you find?
Transmute an item.
The transmutation can be decrafting an item or any of the special item transmutations.

Smash a demon or crimson altar with a powerful, holy hammer.
Destroy a Demon or Crimson Altar (usually using the Pwnhammer ).
Any hammer with a hammer power of 80% or any method to break Altars will do, as long as the Altar is destroyed. This achievement can only be earned in Hardmode.

Unlock one of the dungeon's large, mysterious chests with a special key.
Open your first Biome Chest.
Biome Chest can only be opened with Biome Keys after Plantera is defeated. The achievement icon does not include the Desert Key due to the achievement being introduced before it was added.

Survive a blood moon, a nocturnal event where the rivers run red and monsters swarm aplenty.
Survive your first Blood Moon.

Steal a key from the dungeon's undead denizens, and unlock one of their precious golden chests.
Unlock your first Gold Chest within the Dungeon.
Achievement name may be a reference to the 2011 heist comedy film Tower Heist.

Mine a powerful ore that has been newly blessed upon your world.
Mine your first Hardmode ore.
Applicable ores: Cobalt Ore Mythril Ore Adamantite Ore Palladium Ore Orichalcum Ore Titanium Ore The achievement checks for the destruction of the ore tile. Any method except Block Swap can be used; viable options include directly mining the ore (regardless of if it is naturally generated or manually placed), using explosives, using Drill Mount, or using Digging Molecart. The achievement icon depicts a Cobalt Drill mining Mythril Ore.

Discover a friendly boulder.
Activate a Rainbow Boulder.
The Rainbow Boulder does not need to be naturally generated to trigger this achievement, and as such a crafted Rainbow Boulder will also work.

Build or encounter a glowing mushroom field above the surface.
Encounter an above-ground Glowing Mushroom biome.
Requires 100 Glowing Mushroom biome blocks located on the surface. Shares the name with the 1980 single " Funkytown " by disco-funk group Lipps Inc..

Consume a life fruit, which grows in the thick of subterranean jungle grass.
Consume a Life Fruit.
The achievement checks the usage of Life Fruit. Just using a character that already consumed one will not work. The name is a pun on Life Fruit and the taunt get a life.

Discover and smash your first heart crystal underground.
Find and break a Life Crystal.
Checks for the breaking of the Life Crystal tile. Just picking up a Life Crystal item does not grant the achievement. Will not be granted if broken via actuating the blocks underneath the Life Crystal. Could be in reference to the achievement acquired after completing the 2007 puzzle platforming game Portal.

Encounter a fairy.
Encounter a Fairy.
The fairy can be either naturally spawned or released by a player. A reference to Navi, a character from the 1998 3D action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Discover a golden chest underground and take a peek at its contents.
Open a Gold Chest.
The Gold Chest does not need to be in underground, nor does it have to be naturally generated. A reference to Groot's line "I Am Groot" from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, which he infamously repeats countless times.

You can only go down from here!
Reach Space.
Reach the top of Space.

Build a house in a mushroom biome and have the Truffle move in.
Have a Truffle move into a house created in the Glowing Mushroom biome.
It must be above the surface for the Truffle to move in.

Spelunk deep enough to reach the molten underworld.
Reach The Underworld for the first time.
Reference to the 2002 hip hop song Hot in Herre by Nelly. Prior to 1.4.0.1, the file name for the achievement used to misspell it as "Its Hetting Hot in Here".

Unleash the ancient spirits of light and darkness across your world, enabling much stronger foes and showering the world with dazzling treasures (and rainbows!).
Enter Hardmode.
The Wall of Flesh must be defeated in a pre-Hardmode world. This achievement can also be earned if the player is in a pre-Hardmode world and another player defeats the Wall of Flesh. The achievement image appears to show the various souls obtainable in Hardmode. Clockwise, starting from the top-left, it seems to be: Sight, Night, Fright, Light, Flight, and (barely visible) Might.

Survive the dreaded rain of boulders.
Survive the Boulder rain for the first time.
A Boulder rain can occur on worlds with a combination of Drunk + For the Worthy special seeds during a Thunderstorm.

Stumble into a spider cavern in the underground.
Enter your first underground Spider Nest.
Jeepers creepers is an expression of surprise or annoyance.

Survive a solar eclipse, a day darker than night filled with creatures of horror.
Survive a Solar Eclipse.
Possible reference to the album Kill the Sun by Xandria.

Build a house suitable enough for your first town NPC, such as the guide, to move into.
Successfully get an NPC to move into your first house.
Any valid housing qualifies for this achievement. A reference to the phrase no homo.

Mine your first nugget of ore with a pickaxe.
Mine your first ore.

A reference to Chlorophyte's resemblance to chlorophyll, green pigments in plants essential for photosynthesis.

Enter a misty graveyard filled with the surly dead.
Enter in a Graveyard for the first time.
At least 7 Tombstones are required. The achievement icon is possibly a reference to the movie poster of the 1989 supernatural comedy movie Ghostbusters II.

Obtain a rare treasure from a difficult monster in the dungeon.
Obtain a rare item from an enemy in the post- Plantera Dungeon.
Pick up a weapon dropped from any post-Plantera enemy in the Dungeon.

The only way is up!
Reach the very bottom of The Underworld.
Reach the bottom of The Underworld. A reference to the phrase hit rock bottom.

Using explosives or your trusty hammer, smash a Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart in the evil parts of your world.

Reference to The Wild Thornberrys, an American animated television series that originally aired on Nickelodeon from 1998 to 2004. The catchphrase of the protagonist Eliza Thornberry's father Nigel is "smashing" and he usually calls his daughter "Poppet".

Survive the slime rain, where gelatinous organisms fall from the sky in droves.
Defeat King Slime during Slime Rain.

Get your villagers fully combat ready.
Apply Advanced Combat Techniques and its second volume.

Become a victim to a nasty underground trap.
Get killed by a trap for the first time.
This achievement can only be granted when killed by certain traps or debuffs caused by them. Merely taking damage will not work. See Traps § Technical info for details. The achievement icon shows a Dart Trap firing a dart.

Discover a large bee's hive deep in the jungle.
Discover your first Bee Hive.
Only requires entering the Bee Hive. Unsafe Hive Walls must be behind the player. A reference to the 2011 puzzle video game Where's My Water?.

Survive your character's first full night.
Survive your first full night.
Nighttime events ( Blood Moon, Pumpkin Moon, etc.) will not prevent getting this achievement.

Fly a kite on a windy day.
Fly a kite on a Windy Day.
A reference to Winnie-the-Pooh, both a common phrase used by the characters (aptly, to refer to windy days) and a song of the same name.

Completely purify all Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow from your world, until the Dryad is satisfied!
Check the world status from the Dryad when there are no Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow tiles in the world.
Can be obtained pre-Hardmode. Because Skyblock worlds generate without an evil biome by default, one can easily acquire this achievement by defeating the Eye of Cthulhu and checking their world's status before creating an artificial evil biome.

Catalogue every creature in the world.
Complete the Bestiary.

Prove your worth against the Moon Lord's worst.
Defeat the Moon Lord in a For the Worthy world.
Defeating the Moon Lord in a Zenith world will also trigger the achievement.

Destroy a total of 10,000 tiles.
Mine a total of 10,000 tiles.
Only tiles that can be mined with pickaxes or similar tools (i.e. solid blocks, objects, furniture, etc.) count towards this achievement. When mining objects that occupy multiple tiles, the achievement counter is only increased by 1 regardless of the size of the object. Only tiles mined with pickaxes, drills, the Gravedigger's Shovel, or the Drill Mount will count towards this achievement.

Support sustainable logging by planting 100 acorns.
Plant 100 trees.
Can only be done by planting directly. Acorns, Gemcorns, Sakura Saplings, and Yellow Willow Saplings are all counted.

You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could open the chest that you didn't stop to think if you should.
Die within 10 seconds after opening a Dead Man's Chest.
" Dead men tell no tales " is a well-known proverb, often used as a motive for murder. Tooltip is a reference to the character Ian Malcolm 's iconic line "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." from the 1993 science fiction film Jurassic Park.

Die as a hardcore character and survive to tell the tale.
Die as a Hardcore character in Celebrationmk10 + The Constant combo world.
The character must have more than 60 maximum health for the respawn to happen.

Complete your 50th quest for the angler.
Complete 50 Angler quests.
The name of this achievement is a reference to the Fast & Furious action movie series. Another possible reference could be the 1969 experimental rock album Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band, where the phrase "fast and bulbous" is used several times throughout.

Dawn the garb of a vampire and get a sunburn.
Wear the Vampire set and be burned by the sun in the Vampirism secret world seed.
The Vampire set has to be shown on the character, i.e. it cannot be overridden by vanity armor or accessories like the Moon Charm.

Deliver headpats to the town pet.
Pet a town pet.

Defeat every type of slime there is!
Defeat at least one of every type of slime.

Kill an NPC or a teammate with a Tombstone.
Tombstone projectiles will deal damage when the For the Worthy seed is active.

Trick a gnome into turning into stone!
Turn a Gnome into a Garden Gnome.
Heliophobia is the fear of the sun. Note that Gnomes are likely to spawn inside a naturally generated Living Tree.

Drop a lure in a pool of lava for a pre-fried haul!
Catch something in lava using any fishing pole.
To do fishing in lava, Hotline Fishing Hook, Lavaproof Fishing Hook or its upgrade, or bait found in the Underworld is required. A reference to Hot Wheels toy cars.

Give the Dryad a can of Joja Cola.
Purify a Joja Cola by talking to the Dryad.

What you're celebrating doesn't matter, just throw a party already!
Throw a Party.
Parties initiated by the Party Center are eligible for this achievement. May be a reference to the Reader Rabbit song of the same name in Reader Rabbit Preschool.

Meet with a tenant who's as happy as they possibly can be!
Talk to any town NPC while its happiness is at its maximum.
Can be easily achieved by housing the Party Girl, Wizard, and Zoologist in the Hallow biome and then speaking with the Party Girl, or housing the Arms Dealer and the Nurse in the Desert and talking to the Arms Dealer.

Survive a long fall with just a sliver of health remaining.
Take fall damage and survive with less than 10% maximum health.
The player must have less than 10% of their maximum health after a fall to complete this achievement. This achievement cannot be earned while Stoned. With 500 maximum health, a defense of 0, and no items to negate fall damage, the player must fall exactly 74 tiles (with 10 HP remaining).

Travel a total of 26.2 miles on foot.
Travel a total of 26.2 miles (69,168 tiles) on foot.
Moving when riding a mount or being dragged by The Tongue debuff will not count towards this achievement. 26.2 miles is equivalent to 69,168 tiles.

Do battle against the Twins, the Destroyer, and Skeletron Prime simultaneously and emerge victorious.
Summon all three mechanical bosses simultaneously and defeat all of them.
All mechanical bosses must be existing in the world to activate the achievement tracker. All bosses must be killed; the achievement will not be granted if any of them despawned. This restriction only applies to the main boss. It does not affect the limbs of the Skeletron Prime and the Probes from the Destroyer. Cannot be obtained by defeating Mechdusa.

Embark on a one way trip into outer space.
Go out of the top world border.
The player can go out of the top world border in either of the following conditions: The Remix seed is active. The player is within 250 tiles from second phase Brain of Cthulhu when the For the Worthy seed is active. Note that doing so kills the player if the player is not in Godmode.

Fire a Bee Gun while wearing a full set of Bee Armor.
Fire a Bee Gun while equipped in a full set of Bee armor.
Do not confuse Bee armor with the Bee set. Reference to a quote by Nicholas Cage in the 2006 mystery horror film The Wicker Man.

Defeated the combined form of the 3 mechanical giants.
Defeat Mechdusa for the first time.

The Empress of Light, Deerclops, and Queen Slime are not necessary for this achievement, as they were implemented after this achievement was introduced. The achievement image includes a character wearing Red's set in it, presumably Redigit. The bosses below appear to be Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, and Skeletron.

It does not have to be all at once. The player can get healed by the Nurse every so often and it adds up. To get this achievement faster, purposely make the Nurse unhappy, so that she will charge for more coins. The achievement can be easily completed in the late game as the price for healing increases along with game progression. A Red Potion can also be used to obtain this achievement quickly, as it causes a lot of debuffs. However, this will not work when the For the Worthy seed is active, as they will provide buffs instead.
