Food, and that is the whole story. It falls out of forest trees when you shake them, so you collect it by accident rather than on purpose, and eating one keeps you fed for a while. On a fresh character that is a genuine bonus for no effort, since shaking trees costs you nothing but the swings you were making anyway.

It has no recipe of its own. This is one of the interchangeable fruits, so it goes into Fruit Juice or Fruit Salad next to whatever else you picked up, and it turns into Ambrosia in Shimmer. If you are hoarding fruit for a specific dish, this is one you can spend without thinking.
