explosives that work underwater
This is a sticky bomb that does not care about being wet. Ordinary explosives slow to a crawl the moment they hit water, which is exactly when you most want a hole in the floor. Throw one of these into a flooded cavern and it travels normally and sticks where it lands.
precision work
Because it adheres to whatever it touches, you can place the charge directly on a Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart and step back, instead of hoping a rolling bomb ends up somewhere useful. The same applies to opening a chest alcove without collapsing everything around it.
supply
You fish them up, and the amount per catch scales with fishing power, so a serious angler ends up with more than they can spend. They are effectively free once you have a decent rod and bait, which is the argument for using them casually where you would ration crafted bombs.
One small difference from the sticky version: these stay dark in flight, since there is no fuse to glow.
