Wear it and shadow hands peel off toward whatever is nearby with no input from you. They punch through walls and through the first couple of enemies they touch, and the damage is classless, so it does identical work for a summoner and a melee player. The armor penetration is unusually high for something available this early, which means it keeps contributing against armored enemies rather than pinging off them.

They appear at a distance and fly in, sometimes straight and sometimes on a hard swerve, the same erratic pattern you dodged during the Deerclops fight. That swerve means they occasionally sail past a small target, so treat the output as a steady trickle rather than something you can rely on at a specific moment. The gap between hands varies too, so there is no rhythm to time around.

It is at its best in the first tier of the Old One's Army, where the piercing catches marching lines of goblins and the hands will chase the flying wyverns you would otherwise have to run down yourself. Outside combat it keeps ticking while you fish or mine. One cosmetic warning: the helm draws over whatever is in your vanity headgear slot, so it will overwrite the look you set up.
