Chromatic Cloak

Normally touching shimmer starts the transformation on contact, which makes every pool a hazard to route around. With this equipped it behaves like water instead. You slow down the same way, Flippers let you swim in it, Neptune's Shell still turns you into a merfolk, and there is no breath meter at all, so you can sit at the bottom and sort your inventory.

Transforming becomes something you choose: hold down and you sink into the change. That choice is one way only. Once it begins, unequipping the cloak will not stop it, so do not start it standing over a pool you had no intention of traveling through.

The practical payoff is working the aether comfortably. Hauling items in to be transmuted, laying blocks, and fishing things back out all stop being interrupted every few seconds.
