Elf Melter
Uses gel for ammo Ignores 15 points of enemy Defense

how it fires
One pull of the trigger spits several streams in quick succession and only costs a single Gel for the lot. The flame widens as it travels into a short cone, which is why it feels much better against a pack or down a corridor than the raw numbers suggest. It punches through a few targets, though every one it passes weakens the flame that follows.
modifiers matter more than usual
Speed and velocity rolls change the weapon rather than just tuning it. Enough speed adds another stream to every use, still for the same single Gel, and velocity stretches how far each stream reaches. That makes the usual best-modifier advice less absolute here than on most guns.
limits
- Water, honey and Shimmer stop the projectiles dead. It will not fire at all while you are submerged in water, though lava is fine.
- Range is short and fixed. Anything you have to fight at distance is a bad matchup.
- Holding it straps a fuel tank to your back that overlaps wings and other back accessories, which is worth knowing if you care how your character looks.
getting it
Santa-NK1 carries it, and the odds improve with the Frost Moon wave you kill it on. Pushing deeper into the event beats repeating early waves.
