Dropped by
how you fly it
Holding the attack button keeps the knife out and pulls it toward your cursor. It never stops moving on its own, so what you are really doing is nudging a projectile that is already ricocheting around the room, not steering it precisely. Let go and it comes home, which takes a moment if it is far away.
the wall trick
Put the cursor between the knife and a wall and the knife will keep throwing itself into that wall, turning around, and doing it again. The damage that comes out of the loop is far above anything you get in open air. The Destroyer is the target this was made for, since it is long enough that the knife stays in contact through the whole cycle. It also works on both Twins at once, at the cost of pushing them into their second phases together.
small things
- It slips through walls occasionally, usually in cramped spaces.
- Swapping loadouts does not drop a knife you already have out.
- Being turned to stone by Medusa does not end your control of it.
- It works from a bed, and it lights up the area it is flying through.
modifiers
Extra knockback is a liability here. Enemies get shoved away from your cursor rather than away from you, which is exactly how you break the loop you just set up. A modifier that cuts knockback keeps targets pinned where you are aiming, and the damage modifiers come out even anyway.
