Guardian Golem

The Toy Golem lights the area around you like any other light pet, but it does not trail behind. It tries to hold position in front of you, between you and wherever you are heading, which is the joke in the name. In practice it lights the ground ahead while you run, and that is more useful than a pet that sits on your shoulder.

It only comes off Golem on a Master world, so it is a reward for replaying a fight you have already beaten. The odds per kill are generous enough that a couple of rematches usually do it, and Golem is cheap to resummon once the Temple is open. Get too far ahead of it and it fires a rocket out of its base to close the gap.
