Infused Fertilizer

Same idea as the plain fertilizer, one use and the sapling becomes a tree on the spot, but the trunk that comes up is far taller. The catch is headroom. If the shaft above the sapling is too short the growth simply fails and the item is consumed anyway, so a farm laid out for ordinary trees will eat these one after another and give you nothing.

Dig the shafts to the taller clearance before you convert anything. Mahogany and palm want the most room of any type, so size the farm to those and everything else fits. Once the shafts are deep enough there is no reason to keep ordinary fertilizer at all, since the shimmer swap costs nothing and a taller trunk means more wood off the same sapling.
