Killing Deck

Every use advances a counter rather than repeating one attack. A single card, then a pair heading opposite ways, then a wide fan, then a recall that yanks everything home at once. The recall is skipped when nothing is out, so the pattern never stalls on you.

Cards do very little where they land. They stick, sit there inert, and only start earning once they head home, at which point they hit much harder, ignore terrain entirely and cut through everything in a line. The whole weapon is about planting a lot of cards far away and then dragging them back through a crowd.

This is why holding the button down is a mistake. Autofire reaches the recall step almost immediately, so the cards come back before they have gone anywhere worth going. Firing by hand lets you plant the first three volleys deep and then trigger the return when the path lines up with something worth cutting through. You can also skip the recall entirely and let them come home on their own timer if the positioning is better that way.

It came out of a crossover with Dead Cells. The tooltip winks at both that game's undead protagonist and at a certain card throwing Marvel mutant.
