5what it is for
This is a decoration tool. Point it at a ceiling or a floor and it places a stalagmite or stalactite built out of whatever block you feed it, so cave interiors, cellars and underground bases stop reading as flat rectangles chopped out of stone. Different blocks give you the shapes from different biomes, and the up and down keys cycle the variants before you commit.
worth knowing
- Anything you place hands the block back when you break it, so experimenting costs nothing but time.
- The Demolitionist stocks it the whole game, which means you can be detailing caves long before Hardmode even though the item is colored like a late drop.
- It pairs with the Rubblemaker and the Portable Kiln. Between the three you can dress a cave without placing a single piece of furniture.
