The extra sentry slot is the whole item. The damage bonus attached is pleasant and forgettable, but one more turret on the field means a second Ballista or Explosive Trap holding a lane while you handle whatever leaks past. For a summoner running the event's own armor, that stacks with the set bonus and gives you a real static defense instead of a token one.
Outside a sentry build it is close to dead weight. If you never place turrets, the summon damage alone does not earn the slot.

The four class accessories from this event do not stack with one another. Wearing this alongside the Apprentice's Scarf, the Huntress's Buckler or the Squire's Shield gives you one bonus, not two, and the wasted slot is easy to miss because nothing warns you. Pick the one matching your class and fill the rest of your loadout with something that does something.
