Portal Gun Station
Controls.RightClick to adjust trajectory, change portal colour and fire
how you drive it
Where you click on the placed station decides what it does. The top swaps which color it will fire next, the base fires one, and the sides rotate it a step at a time through the angles it supports. It will not point straight down. Every one of those actions can be triggered by wire instead, and which one you get depends on where the wire meets the tile, so a station wired three ways is a fully remote portal launcher.
the multiplayer catch
Portals belong to a player, so the station has to work out who fired it. A signal with nobody behind it does nothing except rotate the thing. Timers will not fire it and most sensors will not either. A pressure plate a player steps on works, and so does one struck by that player's arrow or minion, because those trace back to someone. The exception is a Player Above sensor, which produces green portals that stay put instead of vanishing when the owner walks off, and that is the version you want for a permanent transit link.
small notes
It keeps working under Creative Shock, which makes it one of the few ways to move around during the Old One's Army. Paint changes the furniture and not the portals. And you have to already own a Portal Gun or another station to buy one, so the Cyborg will never sell you your first.
trivia
It is lifted straight out of Portal, where the handheld device first appears sitting in a rotating stand that fires portals at the wall for you.
