how the mines behave
A fired mine arcs a short way, settles, and goes half transparent while it waits. It hits vastly harder sitting still than it does in flight, so this weapon rewards laying a field before the fight rather than shooting at something. Anything that never gets triggered eventually goes off on its own.
laying a trap
Stack several mines in one spot and a single enemy walks through all of them in sequence, since each blast only locks it out of damage for a fraction of a second. That chain is the highest damage the launcher can produce, and it works best on a boss with a predictable approach or on invasion enemies funneled down a corridor. There is a cap on how many can be live at once, and going past it quietly pops your oldest mine for no damage at all.
watch your own feet
You will not trigger your own mines by walking into them, but you take full damage when something else does, so do not stand in your own minefield waiting. Rockets that break tiles will also dismantle the arena you built, which makes ammo choice part of the setup rather than an afterthought.
