Reflective Gold Dye

Gold has the widest gap between its lit and shaded tones, so the effect is the easiest of the set to actually notice in motion. Over a dark armor silhouette it reads as real plating. Over gear that is already yellow it flattens out and you have spent a dye for nothing.

Deep in an unlit cave the finish is close to black, because the highlight is driven entirely by the light sources around you. A lit arena or a torch-heavy build shows it off. Outdoors it locks onto the sun instead, so the look holds steady while you run.

Handing a strange plant to the Dye Trader pays out a random dye from a large pool. There is no way to target this one, so it arrives when it arrives and the fastest route to a full set is trading with other people.
