Reflective Obsidian Dye

This is one of the reflective dyes, so it does not animate by itself. Instead the shading on your gear shifts as you move relative to whatever is lighting the area, and it responds harder the closer you stand to a light. Outdoors the sun overrides every other source, so surface play in daylight gives the steadiest result and a torch-lit cave gives the twitchiest.

Compared with the other reflective options this runs dark, and the highlights come out muted instead of bright. That makes it a poor pick for a silhouette you want readable at distance and a good pick if you are after something heavy and stone plated. Dyeing every slot at once sells it best, because the shading lines up across pieces and the character starts to look like it has actual depth rather than being a flat sprite.

Strange Plants are handed over one at a time and the dye you get back is random, so building a collection is slow background work rather than something you farm in an afternoon. Pick them up whenever you cross one on the surface instead of hunting them.
