Gravity runs backward on these. Fire level and the shot climbs instead of dropping, so every habit you built with a normal bow is inverted. Against something above you that is close to free accuracy. Against a ground target at range it is a nuisance, since you have to aim under the enemy and let the arrow rise into it.
The rainbow burst on impact is decoration and does no extra damage, but the projectile itself is fully lit, bright enough to show you the shape of a dark shaft while you shoot down it.

The Daedalus Stormbow is the awkward pairing. Arrows still start above the target the way that bow wants, but they lose speed, stall, and then head back up, which throws away most of a volley. The Blood Rain Bow overrides the behavior completely and the arrows fly like ordinary ones. Anything that shoots in a straight line from your hands is where these feel best.
