Cutting grass with it produces hay instead of nothing, with tall growth paying better than short. Hay is a building material in its own right and the base for target dummies, so a few minutes of mowing covers most of what you would want it for without any farming setup.

Flower Boots regrow grass plants under your feet as you walk. Wear them, stand on a grass strip and swing, and the plants come back about as fast as you cut them. A small patch becomes an unlimited supply, which is the only sane way to gather hay by the thousand.

Blowpipe ammo still drops from grass you cut with this, so there is no reason to swap tools when you want both. Pick the harvesting modifier if you are here for the hay and the combat one only if you plan to swing it at something.
