Spicy Pepper

Shake an ash tree in the Underworld and one occasionally drops out with the rest of what those trees give. That is the only source, so it arrives as a byproduct of being down there rather than something you go hunting. If you want a few, shake every ash tree you walk past instead of making a trip for it.

As food it is the weakest tier on a short clock, so eat it when nothing better is in the bag and do not plan around it. Its real use is as a fruit. It feeds only the generic recipes that accept any fruit at all, the juice, the salad and Ambrosia, and it has nothing of its own. There is no reason to hold peppers back waiting for a special recipe, because none exists, so throw them into whichever any-fruit dish you are short on.
