Zombies drop it, which sounds trivial until you see how thin the odds are. A normal night gives you nothing. A Blood Moon, or a spawn box built on the surface and left running while you do something else, is the only realistic way to get one without giving up. The frozen and raincoat versions count too, so a snow biome and a rainy night are both fine places to grind.

Spiffo is the raccoon mascot of Project Zomboid, and the buff line you get when you summon him is lifted from that game's opening screen.
