It does the same job as the tool it replaces, with a longer stream, a wider spray and a decent chance of not spending the can at all. The reach is the part that reshapes the work: standing in a shaft, you can hit both walls at once while falling instead of making two passes.

Dig hellevators, jump in, spray left and right the whole way down. Space them so the sprays meet, which means keeping them well under two hundred tiles apart. The limit is usually not range but how far the camera lets you see, so pair it with a scope and you can actually aim at the far edge of the stream.

Anything that reduces ammo consumption applies here, so an Ammo Box and the ammo reservation buff together will carry you through a full world conversion on far fewer cans than you budgeted for. It cannot be reforged, so there is no modifier to chase.
