it does not fire when you click
Pulling the trigger gives you a spray of bubbles, not bullets. They drift, they bounce off walls, and a moment later each one bursts and sends a round toward wherever your cursor is at that instant. The gun is built around that pause. Once the timing clicks you stop aiming before the shot and start aiming during it, which is a strange habit to pick up and very effective once you have.
where the delay helps and hurts
- In a corridor or a tight arena the bubbles gather against the walls and burst almost together, dumping the whole volley into one spot.
- Against anything that moves the second you shoot, the rounds leave late and from the wrong place. Homing ammo covers that gap almost entirely and is the standard pairing.
- The bubbles scatter but the bullets themselves fly perfectly true, so it behaves like a shotgun at the start of the shot and a rifle at the end of it.
getting one
It comes off the saucer, which is the hardest part of the martian event, so farming it means repeat invasions and a plan for that fight specifically. Bring something that kills the saucer fast, because everything else in the event is a formality by comparison.
