Crimera

The Crimson answer to the Eater of Souls, and it flies the same way. It closes to a middling distance, circles while matching your movement, then commits to one fast rush and peels back out again. That in and out rhythm punishes slow swings, since the charge tends to land while you are still recovering from a miss. A wide arc or a quick fire rate handles them without much thought.

Three sizes exist and the gap between them matters. The small ones die to anything, the large ones can end a fresh character in a couple of touches, and neither travels alone in an open chasm. Shaking a shadewood tree can also drop a live small one on your head, which catches people out while they are gathering wood nowhere near the Crimson.

The name folds crimson into chimera, the mismatched beast of Greek myth. The ones drifting far behind the terrain are scenery only. They cannot be hit and cannot touch you.
