This is less a separate creature than a pairing: a Drakanian that happened to spawn sitting on a Drakomire. Both halves come from the Solar Pillar during the event that follows the cultist, neither can be summoned, and you will see plenty of unmounted ones too. Whether a spawn arrives as a pair is decided for you.
aim high
The game rewards you for taking the top half first. Kill the rider and the mount carries on with whatever health it has left, which is progress. Kill the mount and the rider drops off completely restored, which is not. In practice that means avoiding single target burst aimed low. Anything that pierces upward, or a weapon with a tall hitbox, settles the pair without you thinking about order at all.
notes
- Both halves feed the same banner, so a pillar run fills it quicker than the raw kill count suggests.
- The spear looks like a Daybreak capped with a Solar Eruption tip, but it is only ever swung, never thrown.
