Golden Slime

Only Celebration Mk 10 and Zenith worlds contain it. It replaces an ordinary slime on the spawn roll, in forests and down through the underground and cavern layers, at better odds than the shiny critters you occasionally see but still rare enough that a Lifeform Analyzer earns its slot.

It hops more often than a normal slime and trails gold sparkles, and it coughs up decorative coins whenever you hit it, which are only decoration. The problem is knockback. Nothing is easier to shove, and in Master worlds it is worse than weightless, so a heavy weapon can punt it into a chasm or off screen before it dies. Corner it in a dead end, or switch to something fast and light. If you are wearing Royal Gel it ignores you completely, which helps you get close and does nothing for killing it.

It pays out more coins on death than any other enemy, mimics included. It has no bestiary page and no banner, and it does not count toward the slime tour achievement, so this is purely a money kill.
