getting one to appear
Nothing summons it. It spawns by itself once a graveyard has formed around you, above ground or deep below it, and only after the dungeon boss is dead. The conditions are unusually strict for a regular enemy: no town resident can be nearby, the tile at your center cannot have a safe background wall behind it, and you have to have moved, jumped or used something in the last few seconds. Standing perfectly still in an afk farm switches it off, and a conveyor belt carrying you does not count as moving. It also needs a small patch of clear solid ground to appear on, so a floor of platforms with headroom works and a sloped or half-tiled floor does not. Holding a Shadow Candle waives all of those rules at once, and only one can exist in the world at a time.
luck runs the spawn rate
Good luck suppresses it and bad luck feeds it, which is the opposite of how you normally play. There are only a handful of ways to make yourself unlucky: throw a Pretty Mirror down inside a graveyard, keep a Raven Feather or a Wilted Clover stashed on you, kill ladybugs or your own townsfolk, or coat yourself in something foul. Stacking a few of those is the difference between meeting one by accident and farming them on purpose.
how it hunts you
It arrives wearing the shape of an ordinary decorative statue and sits there, indistinguishable from real furniture, until you come within a few tiles with a clear view of it. While it is pretending it cannot be hurt by anything and will not despawn however far you wander, so shooting blindly into a room ahead achieves nothing. When it wakes it shrieks and stomps after you, straight through blocks if that is the shortest path, and it teleports to keep up while off screen. Lava does not slow it, and your town NPCs are invisible to it.
fighting it blind
There is no health bar and no name when you hover over it, and the Lifeform Analyzer will not warn you it is around, so you fight without any of the usual information. Each stomp has a short recovery after it lands, and that gap is your window to hit back or reposition. Since it walks through terrain, a walled box is not a safe spot; open ground where you can circle it is better than a corridor. If it kills you it laughs about it.
the reason to farm it
It drops whichever statue it was imitating, chosen at random from a very long list, and it is the only enemy in the game that hands out statues at all. In a skyblock world that makes it the only source for most of them, and the randomness makes chasing one specific statue a long evening. It leaves no banner, so there is no completion reward waiting at the end of the grind.
