Water Sphere

Nothing spawns these on their own. Dark Casters throw them three at a time, then blink somewhere else and do it again, which is what makes a dungeon corridor feel like a shooting gallery. Water Bolt Mimics use the same attack once you have woken one up.

The game does not treat these as projectiles. Each one is an enemy with its own health, so anything that deals damage will pop it. A single wide swing or one piercing shot clears a whole volley before it arrives, which is the difference between a dark caster being dangerous and being an irritation.

They travel in a flat line straight through solid rock, so getting behind a wall does nothing for you. Being counted as enemies also means homing weapons and minions will happily chase a sphere and dump their damage into it instead of the caster that made it. The one thing in your favor is the light they give off. A pale glow drifting toward you through stone means a caster is close and about to relocate.
