getting one

Betsy drops it, which means the third tier of the Old One's Army and nothing else. That tier does not open until Golem is down, so this is a late pickup no matter how early in a run you started grinding the event. There is no recipe and no second source.

what one shot does

A pull throws a spread of arrows on a steep arc instead of a flat line, so you aim high and let gravity bring them down. Every arrow that connects breaks into a fan of smaller ones pointed at the floor, in a fixed downward spread with the middle piece going straight down whatever angle you fired from. All of it detonates on blocks too, so a shot that sails into the wall behind a crowd still puts damage on them.

The fragments will not hit the target their parent arrow already hit. They exist entirely for whatever is standing underneath it.

the airborne check will ruin your arena

The big damage bracket only applies when the point of impact is well clear of the nearest solid ground beneath it, and the game is generous about what counts as ground. Platforms count. Planter boxes count. Actuated blocks count. Build a boss arena as stacked platform layers and you can spend a whole fight in the low bracket with nothing on screen telling you so. Leave genuine empty space under wherever you plan to stand.

what to load it with

Whatever arrow you feed it gets stripped and rebuilt, so special effects are thrown away and only the damage figure carries through. Load the hardest hitting arrow you own and ignore everything else about it, which at this stage usually means Venom Arrows. Speed is the one odd exception: the way the conversion stacks velocities, Hellfire Arrows come out travelling fastest, which is worth knowing if you care more about closing distance than about a few points of damage.

where it earns the slot

Bosses hover for most of a fight, so this sits in its high bracket against nearly all of them without you doing anything clever. Events are the other case. Hit one flier over a wave of ground enemies and the shower of fragments clears the wave underneath. Water does not slow the arrows either, which is more useful than it sounds during a flooded fight. Unreal is the modifier to chase.

trivia

The name is lifted straight from Dungeon Defenders 2, where the same bow exists. Every weapon out of this event is a crossover reference of one kind or another.
