This is a cat that refuses to walk. Get too far ahead or leave the ground and it climbs onto a stick of dynamite and rockets after you, then hops off the second it touches solid floor. It looks completely different standing still than it does chasing you, which makes it one of the more entertaining pets to actually run. It wears a miner helmet and gives no light at all, so do not plan on it for caving.
The real price is not the gold. The Zoologist only stocks it once you have filled out a large share of the bestiary, which means catching and killing things you would normally walk past. Treat it as a payoff for completionist play rather than something to chase early.
