Candy Cane Block

There is no recipe and no ore to mine. They come out of Presents, and Presents only appear while the Christmas event is running, so the supply is seasonal unless you stockpile unopened ones. Opening a pile in one go is the quickest way to a usable amount, and the blocks gather into a single stack as they land rather than scattering across your inventory.

They are decoration and nothing else. No tool tier, no bar, no armor: the only recipe that eats them is Candy Cane Wall. Their job is looking like a stick of candy. The stripe reads well as trim, a railing or a doorframe, and turns noisy across a large flat wall, so most builds use them in narrow runs rather than as the main material.

The red and green versions do not blend into each other when placed side by side. Each keeps its own outline at the seam. That is a nuisance if you wanted a smooth two tone surface and useful if you want a hard edge between the two colors.
