How to craft it
what the burn is worth
Every hit sets the target on cursed fire, so damage keeps ticking after the arrow itself is gone. That matters most in long fights where you spend real time dodging, since the enemy keeps losing health during every stretch you are not shooting.
Flaming arrows go out the moment they touch water. These do not. They keep burning through water, honey and Shimmer, which makes them the arrow you want in the Ocean and in flooded caves where the cheap option quits.
against the crimson alternative
If your world rolled Crimson, the Ichor version is usually the better pick, because stripping defense helps every other source of damage you carry instead of only stacking onto the arrow. In a Corruption world these are what you have, and they are strong enough that there is no reason to go world hopping for the other one.
