Most of the value here is not on the stat list. It hands autoswing to every melee weapon and every whip, which turns clunky broadswords and the entire summoner whip lineup into hold to attack weapons. If you have spent boss fights mashing a button, this is the accessory that fixes it.
running it with the other glove
It stacks with the Mechanical Glove on damage and attack speed, but the reach and knockback bonuses do not double up, so wearing both is a damage decision rather than a range one. That pairing pays off most on weapons whose output scales with swing rate, so the Fetid Baghnakhs and the Psycho Knife rather than a slow heavy sword.
the burn
The fire debuff it adds is small next to everything else on the accessory. Do not build around it, and do not skip the accessory because your weapon already sets things alight.
