Flask of Cursed Flames

Drinking this wipes whatever flask you already had running, so pick one before a fight and commit. The upside is that it survives death, which means a wipe on a boss does not cost you the buff on the next attempt.

Cursed Inferno is a heavy damage over time that also pushes enemies further when you hit them. Against crowds that extra shove buys you space. Against a boss that ignores knockback you are only buying the burn. Melee weapons that throw projectiles pass the effect along, so swords with beams and flails apply it at range too.

Pickaxes and drills count as melee, so the buff lights them up while you dig. The green flames throw off more light than a torch and cost you nothing extra, which makes this the lazy way to see in an unlit cave you were tunneling through anyway.
