Tap up and the world turns over. You fall toward the ceiling until you tap it again, and only you are affected, so nobody else on the server gets dragged along. A later patch let it trigger while you are already airborne, which is what turned it from a curiosity into a real movement option.

The Dungeon is the clearest case. Those zigzag shafts are miserable to climb and trivial when you can simply fall up them. It is also a good answer to the Dungeon Guardian if you are attempting that, since reversing direction instantly is the sort of movement a homing chaser cannot match. Vertical arenas in general get easier once your escape route is straight up at full falling speed.

• Grappling overrides it. Gravity will not flip while you are hooked to something, inverted or not.
• Taking it off while upside down snaps you back to normal at once, which is worth knowing before you unequip in midair.
• It is one of three Expert only drops from the Moon Lord bag, alongside the Celestial Starboard.
