How to craft it
how the split works
Each shot travels as one projectile that goes through everything it touches, then breaks into a handful of fragments that stop at the first body they hit. The timing of that break decides how the weapon feels. Fire into a packed group at range and the fragments spread across several enemies. Fire point blank and the dart comes apart behind or inside your target, and most of the pieces do nothing.
the debuff is the point
Ichor strips defense off whatever it sticks to, so these are worth carrying even when a plainer dart out-damages them, because everything you shoot afterward hits harder. That is a genuine job in a group: one player tags the boss with a blowpipe, everyone else keeps swinging their real weapon.
the close range throttle
Before it splits, the projectile locks its target out of taking further hits for a moment. Spamming darts into one enemy at touching distance does not multiply your damage the way the fire rate suggests. Back off far enough that the darts break up first and you get the full spread instead of one throttled stream.
