Healing potions are limited by the sickness they leave behind, not by how much they give back, and that is the entire reason to climb a tier. One drink covers more of your bar for the same lockout, so in a long fight you spend fewer of those forced windows sitting at low health with nothing you can do about it.

If you are pushing into something you expect to lose to, wear the accessories that shorten the wait. Cutting the sickness is worth more than any single flat healing increase, because it changes how often you can drink at all.

Brew a full stack before an event starts. Running dry on healing mid-fight kills more attempts than running short on damage does.
