Moon Globe

Throwing one rerolls which moon your world shows at night, and that is the entire effect. Moon style is otherwise locked in when the world generates, so this is the only way to change it without starting over. It matters to people building for screenshots and to nobody else.

The Zoologist will not stock it until your bestiary is half filled, which is a long tail of catching critters and killing things you would normally walk past. Most players clear that bar well into Hardmode, long after the novelty of a new sky has worn off.

The game files count the globe as a ranged weapon, so armor that occasionally refunds ammo can refund one. The usual ammo saving accessories and the potion do nothing for it, which is the sort of inconsistency you only find by trying to farm the effect.
