Owl

They gather near towns after dark on the surface, in forest and hallow, and rain shuts them off completely. If the sky is clear and none are around, shake forest trees at night instead. Anything a statue produces cannot be netted, so an Owl Statue is only good for the sprite and the sound.

A small share of them are not owls at all. The imitation copies enough of a real critter to be convincing: it lights up green under Hunter, other enemies attack it, and it looks harmless right until it does not. Bad luck pushes the odds up sharply and good luck pushes them down by an order of magnitude, so the safe time to go netting is when your luck is already running high.

Very rarely the call comes out as a person doing an impression instead of the usual sample. It is a long shot roll and easy to miss with music up. Ducks have the same joke wired into their quack.
