Pumpkin Moon Medallion

The event runs against the clock and ends at dawn no matter what, and the waves ramp as it goes. Use it the moment night falls. Fire it off halfway through the night and you simply never reach the waves where the heavy hitters show up in numbers, which is where all the drops you want live.

Misusing it costs you nothing. Try it during the day and it refuses and stays in your inventory rather than being wasted. It also will not start while a moon event is already running, so you cannot double up.

It will fire during a Blood Moon, and doing so cancels the Blood Moon for the rest of the night. If you were farming something that only appears on one, you lose the whole night, and it does not resume once the pumpkins are done. Check the sky before you use it.
