Raven Staff

Ravens fly out and charge straight through whatever you have marked. What they will not do is reliably hit a whole line of enemies. After one connects it goes inert for a fraction of a second, and during that window it cannot damage anything and cannot even turn toward a new target. The result is a raven visibly passing through three zombies and hurting only the first. Against a packed crowd you lose a lot of the damage the animation looks like it should be dealing.

Single tough targets are where it earns the slot. Ravens commit to one enemy and keep charging as long as you stay in range, and they only break off and fly home when you get a very long way away, so it holds together during a fight where you spend the whole time running laps. It comes out of the Pumpkin Moon, which means you are usually farming that event for something better anyway. Treat it as the minion that carries you through those waves rather than the one you finish the game with.
