Rifle Scope

Ammunition decides it, not the word gun. Anything firing bullets qualifies, and so do the gel burning flamethrowers, the Stake Launcher, the Candy Corn Rifle and, oddly, the Clentaminator and Terraformer. Dart weapons and the magic guns that need no ammo get nothing from it.

The zoom is the same one Binoculars give you, except you keep your weapon in hand, which is the entire point. On a Sniper Rifle the two stack a little further. On mobile the view wobbles along with your aim input, so it is much less pleasant to use mid fight.

Simply having it equipped, zoomed or not, widens the area around you where enemies are allowed to appear. That quietly breaks any farm built around the normal spawn box: creatures start turning up outside your kill zone and your rates drop with no obvious cause. Take it off before you sit down in a farm.

Zoom onto a different biome and the music follows the camera rather than your feet, so you can stand in a forest listening to the mushroom track.
