Spider Wall

The wild version of this wall grows webs in front of itself forever, which makes it the only sustainable source of cobweb in the game. The catch is that the version you craft and place yourself is inert. It looks identical and it counts as a safe wall, so nothing grows on it. If you want a farm you need the infested variant, which you get by throwing the plain wall into Shimmer.

• Webs need a solid block nearby to anchor to and will reach a few tiles out from it, so a bare field of wall with no blocks in it grows nothing.
• Water shuts growth down completely. Drain the chamber before you wall it.
• Only a fraction of the webs you cut actually hand you an item, so build wider than feels necessary and harvest in sweeps rather than one at a time.

Worlds running The Constant scatter nests and stray patches of this wall right at the surface, which saves the usual descent to find one.
