Tin Shortsword

A shortsword stabs straight out instead of swinging in an arc, and it used to only stab sideways, which made it nearly useless against anything above or below you. It follows the cursor now, so you can jab up at a bat or down through a platform. That change is what makes the early ones usable at all.

One thing outweighs the weapon itself. The copper version is a Zenith ingredient and this one is not, despite being its direct counterpart. If your world rolled tin, you need to get hold of a Copper Shortsword some other way before that recipe is on the table, and it is easy to lose the starter sword long before you know that matters.
