Confusion reverses your movement controls, so every dodge you have practiced sends you into the thing chasing you. Against anything with a charge that is usually just death, and no amount of skill helps because your inputs are lying to you. The slot cost is real, but this is one of the few debuffs that can kill a good player through no mistake of their own.
it is a component, not a destination
Every immunity trinket in this class eventually folds into the Ankh Shield, and this is one of the more annoying pieces to see drop because the sources are ordinary enemies with a thin roll on them. Clowns during a blood moon are the easiest of the three to bring to you rather than go looking for.
