Crystal Bullets put out more real damage through their splinters, Chlorophyte rounds steer themselves into anything quick, and Nano rounds are effectively this with a bounce and a confusion effect stapled on. That leaves this as the pick for slow or stationary targets, where accuracy is free and the venom tick is pure profit.

Everything in the recipe comes from town, which is the underrated part of it. No biome trips, no farming, just money. Once you have a steady income you can keep a five figure stack topped up and never think about running dry again, and over a full playthrough that convenience beats a couple of points of damage on a bullet you have to go find.
