The ears tint themselves to match your character's skin color, so they blend into any build instead of forcing a palette on you. That is why they turn up in so many custom looks: they read as part of the character rather than as something worn on top of it.

The name is a mash of Vulcan and elf, the two pointy eared species most people think of first.
