Angry Trapper

Nothing summons one. When a world turns Hardmode, jungle grass starts growing them above and below ground, in the role the Man Eater and Snatcher filled before. Each is rooted to one block, never leaves it, and a later patch made that block unmineable, so you cannot pull the floor out from under it.

It holds its usual stretch for several seconds, then briefly whips out much further. Being clipped from a gap that was safe a moment ago is that second window, not bad luck. Give it more room than the sprite suggests, especially where you cannot see what it is anchored to.

Knockback lands here, which its pre-Hardmode relatives ignore, so a heavy weapon holds it off while you close. It usually sits half buried, so anything that hits through blocks, like the Crystal Vile Shard or Nettle Burst, saves the digging. It cannot chase, so leaving always works.

The Uzi drops here often enough that an evening in the jungle is a fair way to get one. The name puns on street slang for a dealer, which is also the joke behind the gun.
