Amphibian Boots

This is the vertical option. The frog half gives you auto jumping and a much taller leap with a softer landing, and the sailfish half gives you the sprint. Together they turn a boss arena into somewhere you can hop around freely before you own a single pair of wings.

Equip Lightning Boots above these and your run speed actually drops, because the game settles on the slower sprint. Slot the Lightning Boots underneath instead and you keep the faster one. Nothing in game warns you, and it quietly costs people speed for entire playthroughs.

These are far less work, since both halves come out of fishing rather than a long chain through the Ice and Lava biomes. If your time goes into events and boss fights, the jump height is worth more than everything the Terrasparks add. If your time goes into caving and the Underworld, take the Terrasparks for the lava wading and the traction, where the extra height buys you nothing.
