Ash Wood Hammer

Ash wood comes off the burnt trees down in the Underworld, so in an ordinary world you are already carrying a better hammer by the time you can stand around chopping there. The one place it earns its slot is a Remix world, where you start in hell and this is the first hammer you can put together at all. Even then the game quietly weakens it in those worlds, so treat it as a stopgap for knocking out walls until you can smelt something.
