Cooking Pot

This is the station that turns raw ingredients into food, and for most dishes it is the only way. Fish you pull out of a lake become a Cooked Fish, odds and ends become a Bowl of Soup or a Grub Soup, and the better the dish the higher the tier of fed buff it hands you. Eat before a long dig or a boss attempt and you can stop thinking about it.

A placed pot also counts as a Campfire for the regeneration aura. The kitchen corner of your base is already a healing spot, and in an arena, where the platform space near your feet is limited, that saves you putting down two separate blocks.

The Cauldron is the same station in a costume. It cooks everything the pot does, its sprite animates rather than sitting still, and it gives off a little light. You cannot craft one. The Witch Doctor only stocks it while Halloween is running, so buy it inside that window or wait a year for the next one.
